TPC Chicago Participates in the 2009 Carl Sandburg Literary Awards Dinner As A Patron Sponsor



Chicago Public Library Foundation was created in 1986 by visionary civic leaders out of the conviction that private resources are essential to keeping Chicgao’s outstanding Public Library truly world class.  Establicshed in the spirit of public/private partnership with the city, the Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization.  In the 23 years since its founding, the Foundation has made grants of more the $32 million to Chicago’s Public Library.

Contributions to the Carl Sandburg Literary Awards Dinner benefit the Chicago Public Library Foundation in its mission to support the collections, programming, and technology initiatives of the Chicago Public Library.  Foundation funding helps connect library patrons to their community and to the world and ensures that Chicagoans will continue to have the freedom to read, to learn and to discover at all 78 Chicago Public Library locations.
