John C. Lee is a Manager in True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office and has over seven years of experience in state income taxation, specializing in compliance and audit defense for large multinational corporate companies representing a wide variety of industries, including oil, utilities, manufacturing, and telecommunication.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Mr. Lee was with the State Income Tax Group of BP America, Inc. and handled state income tax compliance and audit defense projects for a structurally complex global oil company. He began his career in Arthur Andersen’s State and Local Tax practice in Chicago and, later, joined Deloitte’s Multistate practice in Chicago, where his primary area of concentration was corporate state income and franchise taxes, but also included experience with sales/use taxes, property taxes, and payroll/unemployment taxes.

Mr. Lee received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
