Allea Newbold, CPA, negotiates credits and incentives for new and expanding companies nationwide, helping them maximize return on investment. Her tenacity and creativity have built a record of success in property tax abatement, sales tax refunds, cash grants, and Tax Increment Financing (TIF). While retail space leads her list of specialties, clients of all sizes and industries seek out Ms. Newbold’s 15 years of professional expertise.

Drawing on this same depth of experience, she manages tax compliance and consulting for large and mid-size multinational corporate entities, specializing in federal tax accounting methods and ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109 and FIN 48). Her specialties include corporate taxation, transaction cost analysis, and fixed asset capitalization studies. Her most notable accomplishments include assisting a Fortune 500 company in a $100 million accelerated deduction for a capitalization issue.

Before joining True Partners, Ms. Newbold was a member of the national tax accounting groups for both Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She participated in a tour of duty with PwC’s Washington, D.C. tax office, focusing on accounting method issues.

Ms. Newbold speaks widely on credits and incentives as well as other emerging tax issues. Recent audiences include the Florida Tax Executives Institute and the Annual Conference for Women in Accounting. She is the President-elect for the American Society of Women Accountants Tampa Chapter.

She is a member of the Leadership Tampa Class of 2008 and is a past board member of Junior Achievement of West Central Florida. She is also the mother of three children.

Ms. Newbold is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. and a Master’s in accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and Georgia.
