John V. Aksak is the Northeast Managing Director for True Partners Consulting. He has nearly 30 years of broad based tax experience, including strategic tax planning, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 review, FASB 109 tax accounting, international, cash repatriation strategies, acquisitions and divestitures, personal tax planning, partnerships, S-corporations and tax compliance.

Mr. Aksak develops and implements tax strategies emphasizing effective tax rate planning, cash flow maximization, foreign tax credit utilization and transfer pricing planning. He has worked for consumer products, service and manufacturing companies including U.S. multinational companies, inbound U.S. groups and middle market companies. Mr. Aksak also has extensive experience helping clients with Internal Revenue Service examinations with an emphasis on transfer pricing examinations. Mr. Aksak has also assisted financial institutions and closely held businesses.

Prior to True Partners, Mr. Aksak was a tax partner with a regional New York accounting firm. He previously spent 26 years at Arthur Andersen LLP, including 16 years as a tax partner.

Mr. Aksak received his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Masters of Science in Accounting degrees from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
