Thomas Truax is a Managing Director in True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office. He is a tax professional with more than ten years of public accounting experience.

Mr. Truax specializes in pass-through entity taxation, with experience in private equity, real estate industry, including real estate investment trusts, opportunity funds, family-owned and operated business enterprises, and tax-exempt investors. Before joining True Partners Consulting, he was a tax manager with KPMG, where he spent three years in the Federal tax group. Prior to KPMG, he was a Supervisory Senior Auditor with Selden Fox, Ltd.

Mr. Truax received his Master of Science degree in Taxation from DePaul University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Illinois State University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
