Jennifer Lau is a Manager in True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office.  She has over seven years of consulting experience.  Her most recent focus has been in tax risk and process and control implementation within the tax function.  Her work within this area includes integration of financial statement and tax reporting as part of a restructuring.  She has also worked to develop efficiencies and automation of tax processes through reviews of various areas including state and local income tax, sales and use tax, and financial statement reporting. 
 
Ms. Lau has experience in federal and state taxation and has worked on both compliance and consulting projects for large corporations and limited partnerships.  Her state tax consulting experience includes work in restructuring, tax opportunity reviews and nexus studies.  In addition, Ms. Lau has worked on forensic accounting in financial investigations and analysis and remediation activities in the proper application of GAAP within an accounting restatement.
 
Before joining True Partners, Ms. Lau was an associate at Huron Consulting in the Financial Consulting Practice.  There she specialized in investigations and complex accounting issues for Fortune 500 companies.  Prior to that, she was a senior consultant in the Multistate Tax Practice at Deloitte Tax LLP. 
 
Ms. Lau received her Bachelors of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
