Jennifer Lau is a Senior Manager in True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office. She has over nine years of consulting experience. Ms. Lau has most recently focused on helping clients improve processes within a tax function by evaluating current processes, determining best practices and implementing effective control procedures. She has also helped clients develop internal controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Ms. Lau’s experience includes integration of financial statement and tax reporting as part of a restructuring transaction. She has also worked to develop efficiencies and automation of tax processes through reviews of income tax, sales and use tax, and financial statement reporting. Her state tax consulting experience includes work in restructuring, tax opportunity reviews and nexus studies. In addition, Ms. Lau has worked on forensic accounting in financial investigations and analysis and remediation activities in the proper application of GAAP within an accounting restatement.

Before joining True Partners, Ms. Lau was an associate at Huron Consulting in the Financial Consulting Practice. There she specialized in investigations and complex accounting issues for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, she was a senior consultant in the Multistate Tax Practice at Deloitte Tax LLP.

Ms. Lau received her Bachelors of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
