Katherine Grover is a Senior Manager in True Partners Consulting’s San Jose Office. She has over 14 years of experience in state and local taxation. While her main specialty area is sales and use tax, she also has expertise in the practice areas of property tax, business tax, and unclaimed property.

During the course of her career, Ms. Grover has gained exposure to a variety of industries, including computer hardware and software, high-tech manufacturing, professional services and retail. For both employers and clients alike, she has successfully completed and managed a variety of state and local tax projects, including: tax return compliance, tax audit defense, tax research, and state nexus studies. She also has experience with sales and use tax automation, including the creation of an automated “use tax accrual” mechanism and the successful implementation of the Vertex “Tax Decision Maker.”

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Ms. Grover was a Senior Tax Manager at Hitachi Global Storage Technologies where she was responsible for managing all state & local (non-income) taxes. Prior to Hitachi, she worked as a Domestic Tax Manager for Commerce One. Prior to Commerce One, she worked in the San Francisco Office of Arthur Andersen as a State & Local Tax Manager and, prior to that, she worked as a Sales & Use Tax Auditor for the California State Board of Equalization.

Ms. Grover received her Bachelor of Science degree and MBA from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is also a member of the Association for Computers & Taxation and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
