Maria Flores is a Senior Manager in True Partners Consulting’s San Jose office. She has twelve years of experience in corporate income taxation, working in both public accounting and industry. Ms. Flores provides income tax services with focus on ASC 740 accounting for income taxes and income tax compliance, including post-acquisition integration process, stock compensation issues, assistance with federal and state income tax audits, and tax provision software implementation and maintenance. Her clients include multinational corporations, primarily in the high technology and heavy construction industries.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Ms. Flores prepared consolidated federal and state income tax returns and foreign partnership returns of a private multinational manufacturing company. Prior to that, Ms. Flores was a key member of the income tax group of a Fortune 500 company in the heavy construction industry. Her responsibilities included preparation of income tax provision, accounting for uncertain tax positions, and tax technology support to the income tax group. She also prepared consolidated federal and multi-state income tax returns on the corporate and partnership levels. She served a vital role in streamlining the company’s tax department processes through implementation of Taxstream for income tax provision and paperless document management system.

Ms. Flores began her career in tax compliance at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. She received her Bachelor in Science degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University and her Masters in Tax degree from Golden Gate University.
