Sara Neff is a Senior Manager in the Federal Tax Practice of True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office. She joined the firm in September 2006 and has more than 11 years of experience assisting Fortune 500 and mid-market multinational companies with a variety of federal and international tax issues.

Ms. Neff has extensive experience in the areas of income tax provisions, strategic federal and international income tax planning, tax due diligence, transaction structuring, tax controversy, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, FIN 48, and tax risk and process re-engineering.

At True Partners Consulting Ms. Neff assists clients with improving and automating tax provision processes, assessing and improving internal controls, implementing and maintaining FIN 48 compliance, as well as advising clients on various federal and international income tax issues. As part of the Tax Risk and Process Re-engineering Team, she assistsclients in implementing effective tax risk management strategies and aligning corporate tax risk strategies with overall business strategy and risk management of the organization. She advises clients on the implementation of effective tax technologies to achieve risk minimization.

Immediately prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Ms. Neff spent two and a half years working for a small consulting firm as a Project Manager on several large Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and FIN 48 compliance projects. While working on these projects, she acted as the subject matter expert advising clients on a variety of federal and international tax issues, as well as in the areas of transfer pricing, tax controversy, and the implementation of tax provision software.

Ms. Neff has also worked in industry where she was responsible for international and federal tax planning, transfer pricing, and audit defense for a large foreign owned multinational company.
Ms. Neff has over four years of experience with the accounting firms of Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was a member of the Large Corporate Tax Groups specializing in transaction structuring, tax due diligence, tax provision preparation and review, audit defense, as well as general federal and international tax consulting.

Ms. Neff has an Associates Degree in Accounting, Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Southern California, and her Juris Doctorate Degree, with an emphasis in Taxation, from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. She is a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois and a member of the Chicago Bar Association.
