Troy Wangen is a Manager in the Unclaimed Property Practice in True Partners Consulting’s Chicago office. He has extensive experience in unclaimed property consulting, specializing in the development of strategic defense for unclaimed property audits, and the analysis, quantification and mitigation of potential unclaimed property exposure. Mr. Wangen has over five years of experience in unclaimed property and works with both public and private clients of various sizes in numerous industries including retail, energy & utilities, manufacturing, and healthcare. He has represented numerous Fortune 500 clients in the defense of unclaimed property audits and in the performance of comprehensive diagnostic reviews.

Before joining True Partners Consulting LLC, Mr. Wangen held the position of Manager for Thomson Reuters’ ONESOURCE® Unclaimed Property Group, and served in a similar role as a Senior Consultant in the Unclaimed Property Practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Additionally, Mr. Wangen has over four years of experience in general and state accounting with the University of Mary and the Information Technology Department for the State of North Dakota.

Mr. Wangen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration, with a minor in Theology, from the University of Mary. He has been a speaker for holder education seminars sponsored by Lorman, and other professional groups and is the co-author of the article “The Massachusetts Abandoned Property Law: What CPAs need to know,” SumNews, Winter 2008. Mr. Wangen is a member of the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization and is an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
