Privacy Policy - March 2008

TPC Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to information collected on the True Partners Consulting LLC (“TPC”) website. This policy also applies to information TPC may collect in other electronic forums, including e-mail.

How We Use Visitors’ Information

Certain features on the website may request personally identifiable data from users (“Personal Information”), which may include name, e-mail address, company name, or other personal information such as mailing address, fax, or telephone number. In addition, our web server may automatically store your IP address and your domain (where possible) when you log onto our website, the e-mail addresses of those who sign up for any briefings via e-mail, the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, and the aggregate information about what pages on our site you visit or access.

TPC’s policy is to limit information collected to only the minimum information required to complete a visitor’s request. We use the information submitted as described on the website, to respond to visitors’ request, or to otherwise help in processing requests. TPC may also use the information submitted for other business purposes, including, from time to time, using e-mail addresses to send information about tax developments or events in which we believe visitors may be interested, or to let visitors know when new briefings in their interest area(s) have been posted to the site. If users send us a resume to apply online for a position with TPC, we will use the information provided to match users with available opportunities. Personal information is used by TPC to assist in serving visitors more effectively, to improve the content of our website, and to maintain e-mailing lists of briefing subscribers. We offer e-mail interfaces on many pages on our site. Information submitted on this feature is subject to the conflict prevention provisions stated in the Terms of Use.

TPC avoids sharing personal information with third parties. In certain circumstances, we may share information with third parties, including if we believe we are legally obligated to disclose information to the government or third parties, where we are working with a vendor or business associate who is performing functions on our behalf, or if we are jointly providing services with a business partner. In the unlikely event that TPC needs to investigate or resolve possible problems or inquiries, TPC may disclose any information about visitors to government officials as permitted by applicable law.

Protecting Visitors’ Information

TPC uses standard security measures to protect information submitted on this site. We cannot guarantee that our standard measures will not prevent a third party from circumventing our security measures and unlawfully intercepting or accessing transmissions or private communications, or where an error may occur in the administration of the TPC site.

Updating or Removing Visitors’ Information

At any time visitors may request to correct their personal information or request that TPC delete their personal information and no longer contact them either by e-mail, telephone, regular mail, or by any other means. To make any request described above, send an e-mail to connect@TPCtax.com. When contacting us, please be sure to provide us with your exact e-mail address, name, address, and/or telephone number(s) in order to be sure we handle your request correctly.

Cookies

“Cookies” (i.e., small text files placed on your computer when you first visit the site) are used on our website. Most browsers now recognize when a cookie is offered and permit you to refuse or accept it. If you are not sure whether your browser has this capability, you should check with the software manufacturer, your company’s technology help desk, or your Internet Service Provider.

Cookies are primarily used to enhance your online experience and are not used to track the navigational habits of identified visitors, unless we obtain your permission to do so. If you visit our sites to read or download information, such as news stories or articles, much of the information we do collect is statistical only (e.g., the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our site, and the Internet address of the website from which you linked directly to our site) and not personally identifiable. We use this information about the number of visitors and their use of the sites in aggregate form to make our website more useful and attractive to you.

If you subscribe to newsletters from TPC, we may be able to confirm the e-mail addresses of subscribers who have clicked on URLs embedded in our message content. We may collect this information to gauge user interest and to make future newsletters more useful by customizing the content provided to you.

Children

TPC understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment. Our website is not designed for or directed at children under the age of 13. It is our policy never to knowingly collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 13.
