Tina McAvoy in True Partners Consulting’s San Jose office and has over 15 years of professional tax-specific experience, having worked in both public accounting and industry. She has consulted on a wide variety of corporate income tax planning and compliance issues, including research and development credits, mergers and acquisitions, FAS 109 accounting for income taxes, Section 382 studies, transfer pricing, foreign entity tax reporting and planning, and multi-state taxation, among others.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Ms. McAvoy was a tax consultant with Carl & Associates and later MD Sassi Company, both in Silicon Valley, for over 10 years. She has provided tax consulting services to numerous multinational clients such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Synopsis, and Xilinx, to name a few. Before moving to San Jose, Tina began her career as a CPA in Atlanta, working for a couple of local CPA firms after working for Georgia Pacific Corporation in their tax department for 2 years.

Ms. McAvoy has been responsible for a wide variety of federal and state tax projects, from reviewing and overseeing the filing of sales and use tax returns to organizing and conducting interviews with client employees for research and development credit purposes.

Ms. McAvoy received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting and Masters of Accountancy degree in taxation from the University of Georgia. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
